POTATO CHIP COOKIE
American's consume more potato chips than any other snack food.
About 1.2 billion pounds a year.
So naturally, the chips had to be included in a cookie. I'm sure a chip lover created this chewy, buttery, nutty cookie recipe. Give me potatoe anything, anytime. Sweet, savory and easy to make, and I'm on board.
Divas, this cookie recipe is simple and makes a quick dozen without messing up the kitchen. So you can run out and get a pedi, do your brows and make some cookies without sweating out your curls. The scent of vanilla will have your kitchen smelling like a real bakery! Most of the ingredients are already in your pantry and this is just another reason to buy a large bag of chips.
Turn on an old school holiday CD, it's Christmas.
INGREDIENTS and INSTRUCTIONS
2 Sticks of Butter
1 1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/3 Cup of Crushed Walnuts
1 Cup of Crushed Pototo Chips ( I like Ruffles in this recipe)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add flour, chips, walnuts and vanilla. Stir until well blended. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
This is a kid friendly recipe too. Have the kids crush the chips by hand. Since it's not a fancy looking cookie, hand the spoon over and let um rip. Good recipe to make on a rainy saturday or for movie night.
Yes...I made a dozen this morning. I hope you all have a warm and peaceful Christmas.
