Bay Leaf and Garlic Butter Roasted Chicken
It pays to listen. When I tell people about my frugal food blog, they often share their tips. Because you know, everybody thinks they can cook. Tsk! On occasion, I'll try one of those tips and most of the time I'm really surprised. A little tip can take a boring dish to the next level. And don't let it be cheap. Excuse me. I mean frugal. So, I've combined a cooking technique that I just discovered with a home cook's tip and wha la. Bay Leaf and Garlic Butter Roasted Chicken in a Bundt pan.
Many years ago, a coworker asked me to taste a chicken wing her husband baked. I held back my snearing eye roll and took one wing, like a lil lady. She walked away. I ate the wing. Grunted. Wiped my fingers and went to find Brenda. Her husband's key ingredient was a bay leaf! Yep. A bay leaf.

Never think you are too wise to listen. You may inherit a tip that could take your cooking to the next level. Look for trends and new cooking techniques. By all means, don't get stuck with traditions. Change is good and tasty.
