Frozen Yogurt Soda Floats
Kids are often left out of the traditional New Years toast. Create a festive tray of bubbly, colorful Frozen Yogurt Soda Floats for the kiddie count down.
Kids are attracted to bubbles and colors, which is why they always want a sip of that adult beverage in the pretty glass. Let the kids celebrate with The Frozen Yogurt Soda Float, a few snacks and noise makers. The frozen yogurt and diet soda will reduce the amount of sugar intake just before bed.
Do it diva style. The miniature float glasses, pop bottle top coasters and fancy straws make this beverage presentation too much fun. I mixed the cherry and cola flavors together to create a third flavor. Purchase different flavors and let the kids create thier own flavor combinations. The miniature glasses hold a cup of beverage so a little of the ingredients goes a long way.
Amp up the Rap music, start rockin, and call the kids.
Let's get this party started!
Ingredients and Instructions
4 - 6 14 oz Bottles of Diet or Regular Soda Pop
1 Half Gallon of Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
1 6.5 oz Whipped Crean in the can
1 Jar of Marchiano Cherries (optional)
Let the Frozen Yogurt sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes to soften. Fill the glasses 3/4 full with the soda. Add one generous scoop of the Frozen Yogurt. Top with Whipped Cream and add a fancy straw. Cherry is optional. The coaster will catch any over flow but that's the fun of it. Serve on a small tray with noise makers and napkins.
The Miniature Float Glasses and fancy straws can be purchased at Deal's, 4 for $1.00. If you don't have a Deal's in your area, check a dollar store. The Coca Cola coasters were from my collection but try to find something fun to go with the theme.
Don't forget about the kids and have a safe and festive New Year.
As always, Look Good, Cook Good and Entertain in Style.
